Harriette Anne Burrill

Harriette Anne Burrill, age 84, of Dassel, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at the Lakeview Ranch, Dassel.

She was born Nov. 18, 1922, to Henry L. and Anne (Bullock) Burrill in Hawley, Minn.

She graduated from Hawley High School in 1940, and began work at the Hawley Post Office. Later, Harriette worked for Gamble Skogmo Softwares in Moorhead as a book-keeper. In 1960, she transferred with the Gamble company to Minneapolis and became an insurance clerk.

Harriette retired in 1984, and moved to Lake Washington in rural Dassel. There, she lived with her sister, Connie. For the past year, Harriette resided at the Lakeview Ranch in Dassel.

Harriette loved to read, knit, and cross stitch.

She served as president and secretary of the Dassel Women’s Club, and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Litchfield.

Harriette is survived by sisters Connie Burrill of Dassel, and Pam Burrill of Northfield; seven nieces and nephews; 10 grand nieces and nephews; six great-grand nieces and nephews; and a large and devoted extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Charles; and sister-in-law Catherine.

A memorial service took place Saturday, Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Litchfield, with one hour visitation prior to the service. The Rev. Robert Miller officiated. Inurnment will take place at the Hawley Cemetery on a later date.

Memorial service arrangements were handled by the Johnson Funeral Home, Dassel.
