William J. Davis

William J. Davis, age 77, of Maple Plain, formerly of Dassel, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006 at his home in Maple Plain.

He was born Oct. 11, 1929 to John and Signe (Larson) Davis in Saginaw, Mich.

William was a longtime machinist for FMC.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War, and was discharged Oct. 7, 1955 at the rank of corporal.

William was preceded in death by his wife, LaVonne; parents John and Signe Davis; and his siblings.

He is survived by his daughters, Wanda and Steve Hendrickson, Wendy Davis, and Dawn Davis; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gloria and Louis Falling.

A memorial service took place Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano at 10 a.m., preceded by a gathering of family and friends from 9 to 10 a.m. The Rev. Bruce Laabs officiated at the service.

Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
