Norbert Joseph Fiecke
Norbert Joseph Fiecke, age 76, of Lester Prairie, died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Lakeview Ranch, Dassel.
He was born April 24, 1930 in rural Howard Lake to Anton and Mary (Horstmann) Fiecke; and attended Holy Trinity Catholic School in Winsted.
Norbert was united in marriage to Marcella Molva Jan. 20, 1951 at St. George’s Catholic Church in Glencoe. They were blessed with six children, 12 grandchildren. and three great-grandchildren.
Norbert was a truck driver for 45 years, until his retirement in 1992.
During his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing on his pontoon and ice fishing with family and friends, hunting with his sons and friends, and taking care of his horses.
He is survived by his wife, Marcella; children, Robert (DeAnn) Fiecke of Silver Lake, Cathy (Jim) Stifter of Winsted, Cindy (Dale) Klaustermeier, Randy (Kathy) Fiecke, and Ron (RaNaye) Fiecke, all of Lester Prairie, and Carolyn Fiecke of Hutchinson; grandson, Kristopher (Allison) Fiecke; granddaughters, Lisa (Dave) Diers, Emily (Moe) Tonn, Missy (Tony) Broich, Crystal Fiecke, Karla Klaustermeier and fiancé Rick Edin, Julie (Jeff) Stotko, Jolene Stifter, Erin Klaustermeier, Katie Fiecke and fiancé Damon Klein, Becky Fiecke and Rachel Fiecke; and great-grandchildren Trevor and Megan Tonn, and Alexis Stotko.
Norbert is further survived by brothers Florian (Bernice) Fiecke of Winsted, Philip Fiecke of Howard Lake, and Alex (Barb) Fiecke of Mayer; and sisters, Lyd (Clarence) Laxen, and Sophie (Felix) Juncewski, all of Winsted, Rosemary Mallak of Lester Prairie, Helen Zanoth and Emma (Stanley) Drahos, all of Hutchinson, Rosina (John) Jilek of Glencoe, Jo Jensen of North Branch, Isabel (Marvin) Salonek of Watertown, and Mary Glampe of Rockford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dick Fiecke; and a sister, Betty Kuras.
A memorial Mass took place Wednesday, June 28 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with the Rev. Paul Wolf officiating. Private interment was at Glencoe Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, June 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Paul-McBride Funeral Home in Lester Prairie, and continued for one hour Friday before the Mass at the church.
Arrangements were by the Paul-McBride Funeral Home in Lester Prairie.
