Jerome H. “Jerry” Gosewisch
Jerome H. “Jerry” Gosewisch, age 69, of Maple Plain, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 at the Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
He was born June 15, 1937 in Mankato, Minn. to Harold and Helen (Sanger) Gosewisch. Jerry grew up in Mankato, and was an alumni of Boys Town in Omaha, Neb.
He served in the military during the Korean War, being honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1958.
Jerry was a member of the Delano American Legion Post and the Hamel VFW Post.
In the past 10 working years, Jerry fulfilled a life-long dream of working for himself. He owned and operated X-ray Maintenance, servicing X-ray machines.
Jerry’s interests were varied. He loved to fish, especially big bobbers with sucker minnows, going after northern pike. He had a special place in his heart for kittens.
In recent years, Jerry transferred his enjoyment of remote control planes to actually building his own ultra lite in the garage and learning to fly it. The friends he made learning this new hobby had become part of his life. Bonfires with family at home were special days filled with riding go-carts, mini bikes, and playing around together.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen Gosewisch; and his brother, Steven.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Anderson; children Scott and Carrie Gosewisch, Laurie and John Lideen, Jim and Lisa Gosewisch, Randy Emon, and Erica Hartman; grandchildren Jeremiah Lideen, Burl Gosewisch, Ezra Lideen, Andrew Gosewisch, Jessica Gosewisch, Riley Hartman, Spencer Gosewisch, Cali Emon, and Maxwell Gosewisch; great-granddaughter Gracie Lideen; sisters Bev Powell and Bob Kulseth, Judy and Don Milbredt, Sandy and Fred Morgan, Mary Lou and Tom Wheley, and Sherry and Rick McCloskey; and sister-in-law Bev Gosewisch.
