Debra “Debbie” Agnes Howell obituary, 12/1/06


Debra “Debbie” Agnes Howell, age 50, of Darwin, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006 at her home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1956, in Buffalo, the daughter of Andrew and Agnes (Steichen) Hentges. Debbie grew up and attended school in Litchfield.
She was united in marriage to Richard Howell June 22, 1986, in Memphis, Tenn. They lived in Tennessee, Illinois, Mississippi, and Arkansas, before moving to Darwin four years ago.
Debbie was employed for 15 years for Imperial Cleaning Service, and also at the Burns Manor as environmental technician.
She enjoyed reading, garage sales, auctions, and antiques.
Debbie is survived by her husband Richard, of Darwin; son Christopher Nelson of Dassel, three grandchildren: Taylor, Hailey, and Hunter Nelson; brothers Gerald (and fiancée Nancy) Hentges, Robert (and fiancée Anna) Hentges, all of Darwin, and Leslie (and Stacy) Hentges of Blythe, Ga.; sisters Cheryl Tekirdaglis of Riverside, Calif., Donna (and Ronald) Koskey of Coon Rapids, Patricia (and Larry) Thorson of Duluth, Mary Combs (and fiancé Greg Kramer) of Darwin, and Karen (and Jim) Hohmeier of Stone Park, Ill.; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Paul; and a sister, Elaine.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday, Dec. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Darwin with Father Pat Casey as celebrant. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Visitation took place Sunday, Dec. 3, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, and continued Monday, one hour prior to the services at the church.
Arrangements were by the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.
