Angela Dorothy Jackson
Angela Dorothy Jackson, age 92, of Delano, died peacefully Saturday, July 22, 2006 at her home.
She was born Feb. 4, 1914 in Delano, to Joseph and Frances (Longish) Motzko.
Angela gave tirelessly all of her life. She gave countless hours helping the sick, and working at the Christ Child Orphange.
She was a longtime member of the Christ Child Society; and volunteered at USO. Her favorite charities were the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament in West Bloomfield, Mich., and the Blind Orphans in New Jersey.
Angela was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Cox Jackson, in 1972; eight brothers and sisters; her niece Renee O’Connell; and dear friends Mary Ann and James Byrne; and Nellie Adams.
She is survived by two loving children, Jill Frances Jackson, and Michael E. Jackson; grandchildren Joe and Angel; beloved nieces Charlotte Mahoney, and Margie George; and other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, July 26 at the St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, with the Rev. Michael Rudolph officiating. Interment was in the St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Cemetery in rural Delano.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
