Clifford E. Jerde
Clifford E. Jerde, age 67, of Lester Prairie, died Thursday, April 6, 2006 at his residence.
He was born March 3, 1939 at Minneapolis, the son of Donald and Elsie Dongoski Jerde. Clifford was baptized April 13, 1939, and confirmed June 21, 1953.
He was united in marriage to Yvonne E. Schubert Aug. 8, 1958 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie.
Cliff enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He dearly loved his wife and family, and enjoyed visiting with people.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Yvonne; children, Kevin (Chris) Jerde of Burnsville, Brenda Miller of Chaska, and Linda (Michael) Lueth of Norwood Young America; grandchildren, Jeremiah Lueth and his fiancée Krista, Nicole Lueth, Rachel Lueth, Aaron Lueth, Ashley Miller, and Whitney Miller; mother-in-law Edna Schubert of Winsted; brothers Loren Jerde of Montrose, Curtis (Pauline) Jerde of Ogilvie, Russell (Barbara) Jerde of Maple Plain, Gilbert (Judy) Jerde of Maple Plain, Marvin (JoAnn) Jerde of Las Vegas Nev., David (Debbie) Jerde of Lyndale, Joe (Ellen) Jerde of Delano, Jimmy (Gail) Jerde of Colorado, and Norman (Kathy) Jerde of Montrose; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Donna and Eldert Menth of New Germany; nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Melvin Krause; granddaughter Elizabeth Jerde; brother Howard Jerde; and father-in-law Lorence Schubert.
Funeral services Monday April 10 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie, with the Rev. Eric Nelson officiating. Jane Holasek was the organist. Chuck Thiel sang “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.” Congregational hymns were “Asleep In Jesus” and “My Course Is Run.” Interment was at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lester Prairie.
Visitation took place Sunday, April 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie.
Casket bearers were Orland Kruschke, Kenneth Feltmann, Norman Venske, Myron Oftedahl, Kent Landin, and Donald Hoof.
The Chilson Funeral Home of Winsted served the family.
