Glenn Kenneth Johnson
Glenn Kenneth Johnson, age 85, of Paynesville, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006 at Koronis Manor in Paynesville.
Private family services took place, with interment in Atwater United Cemetery in Atwater.
Glenn was born July 22, 1921 in Willmar, to Alfred and Christine (Norell) Johnson.
He worked on the family farm until he enlisted in the US Army during World War 11.
Glenn was united in marriage to Ruth Knudson May 13, 1944 in Litchfield.
After being discharged from the Army, Glenn returned to work on the farm. In his later years, he worked as a mechanic.
Glenn loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Johnson of Paynesville; sons and daughter, Michael Johnson of Duluth, Ron Johnson of Superior, Mont.; Roy (Ruth) Johnson of Heron, Mont.; and Karlene (Wilbert) Reif, Jr. of Frankenmuth, Mich.; brothers and sisters, Clifford Johnson, Alfred Johnson, Jr.; Ester Geesey, and Betty Linden; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Bertha, Knute, and Algot.
