Florentine Leone “Floss” Kosek
Florentine Leone “Floss” Kosek, age 80, of Winsted, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at St. Mary’s Care Center.
Florentine was born in Victor Township, Wright County March 3, 1926, the daughter of Paul H. and Sophia Kieser Kritzeck.
She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1944.
Florentine and Robert E. Kosek were joined in holy marriage June 12, 1948 at The Church of St. Francis in Buffalo. God blessed their marriage with three children.
Bob preceded his wife in death May 4, 1991.
A faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Floss also belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters Holy Trinity Court 1054.
She is survived by her loving children: Steven (Cindy) Kosek of St. Paul, Cindy (Denny) Decker of Howard Lake, and Diane (Ed) Hahn of West Bend, Ore.; grandchildren Amanda Decker, and Michael and Christopher Hahn; a brother and a sister, Willard (Helen) Kritzeck and Marietta Koch, all of Winsted; sister-in-law Lois Sturman of Wayzata; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Floss was preceded in death by her parents, Paul H. and Sophia Kritzeck; and three brothers: Lawrence “Brownie,” Gervase, and Mark Kritzeck.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf was the celebrant.
Visitation was Wednesday, May 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A Catholic Order of Foresters rosary was recited at 4:30 p.m., and parish prayers at 7 p.m.
Casket bearers were Wayne, Jim, Jeff, and Bruce Koch; Lyle Kritzeck, and Michael Hahn.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
