Myrtle M. Laumann obituary, 4/13/06


Myrtle M. Laumann, age 79, of Young America, died Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Glencoe Regional Health Services, Long Term Care.
She was born Feb. 24, 1927 at New Germany, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Kohls) Unglaub. Myrtle was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany.
She was united in marriage to James W. Laumann Oct. 17, 1947 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, James; sons Gary, and Roger Laumann; parents William and Elizabeth Unglaub; brothers Clarence, Howard, and Leonard Unglaub; and sisters Lydia Trittabaugh, Lida Feltmann, and Florence Schuettpelz.
She is survived by her loving family: daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Thomas Lano; son Keith Laumann, all of Young America; grandchildren Katherine and Elizabeth Lano; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Darlene Unglaub of Watertown, Virginia Goede of New Germany, Edwin Laumann of Watertown, Adeline and Bill Harrison of Columbus, N.M., Rose Ann Gebhardt of Glencoe, and Evangeline Laumann of Mayer; nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service took place Monday, April 17 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Waconia, with the Rev. Scott Gustafson of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America officiating. Interment was in Crow River Cemetery, Camden Twp., New Germany.
Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
