Ruby Lewis, age 84, of Litchfield, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006 at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.
She was born May 20, 1916 to Mildred and Mike Rajcevich in Clinton, Iowa.
Ruby married Paul S. Lewis May 2, 1941. They lived in Minneapolis.
After raising five children, Ruby was a teacher’s aide for many years. She loved working with children, her kids at school, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ruby enjoyed traveling with her husband, was a member of the Railroad Auxiliary, and enjoyed tending a little garden and growing flowers.
She is survived by her children, John Lewis of Hastings, Barbara Lewis of Fridley, Geraldine (Darrel) Nyman of Litchfield, Richard Lewis of Maple Grove, and Paul (Dan) Thompson of Fridley; four grandchildren, Kris (Richard) Kowalski, Jacqueline (Robert) DiGregorio of Minneapolis, Robert Lewis, and Michael Lewis; great-grandchildren; five brothers; and three sisters.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings; and her husband, Paul S. Lewis.
Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 14 at Salem Free Evangelical Church in Minneapolis with Daniel Elifson officiating. Interment was at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Pallbearers were Darrel Nyman, Dan Thompson, Robert Lewis, Michael Lewis, Richard Kowalski, and Robert DiGregorio.
Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel handled the arrangements.
