Helen Mosher, age 67, of Ft. Myers, Fla., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006 at her home.
She was born March 11, 1939, in Madison, S.D. to Albin and Emily Johnson.
Helen married Bill Mosher Dec. 30, 1957. During their early years of marriage, Helen raised four children, was employed, and attended college at General Beadle College in Madison. She graduated with a teaching degree in 1970.
During her teaching career, Helen taught in Dell Rapids, S.D., Holy Trinity Elementary School in Winsted, Lyle Elementary in Lyle, Minn., and Hills-Beaver Creek Elementary in Beaver Creek, Minn.
Helen also trained at Brown College in Minneapolis as a graphic artist. As a talented artist, she loved to take drawing classes on the beach in her retirement years.
She also loved to travel, and had visited Africa, Australia, and Europe.
Helen is survived by her husband, Bill; children, JoLynn (Alan) Cafferty of Winsted, Katie Mosher of Eagan, Tom Mosher of Frankfort, Ill., and Julie (James) Hertzog of Watertown; grandchildren, Erin (Keith) Bobrowske, Jamie (David) Mueleners, Paige Guggomos, Laura Hertzog, David Hertzog, and Grace Hertzog; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexis, and Brooklyn Mueleners, and Lili and Ella Bobrowske.
She is further survived by sisters Rose Ann, Mary, Fran, Jane, Lorraine, and Barb; and one brother, Bill.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Bernie Johnson.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Sept. 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Madison, S.D. Following the ceremony, a gathering for family and friends will take place at “The Lodge” in Madison.
