Lois M. Neperud
Lois M. Neperud, age 80, of Litchfield, died Monday, May 22, 2006, at her home in Litchfield.
She and her twin sister were born June 23, 1925, to Fred and Mildred Younggren. Lois graduated from River Falls High School, River Falls, Wis., in 1944.
She worked for Northrup King and Company, where she met the love of her life, George Neperud. They were married Dec. 11, 1949 in River Falls, Wis.
Lois was an accomplished seamstress and typist, including transcribing Dr. Wm. Nolan novels. She loved to play bridge, find the best bargain in town, have a house full of company, and try out new recipes on unsuspecting family and friends.
However, her greatest passion was being a wife, mom, and friend. George and Lois enjoyed many wonderful moments together living on Lake Ripley.
Lois is survived by her husband, George; daughters Janna (Leo) Barnhill of Inver Grove Heights, and Lori (Kerry) Mildon of Stillwater; grandsons Zach, Nick, Ben, and Jac; son Ron (Gloria) Neperud of Cannon Falls, and grandchildren Brandon, Melissa, Josh; great-granddaughter Mya; and twin sister Lorraine Marcinek of Newport, Conn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Bill Younggren.
A memorial service took place Thursday, May 25 at 1:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield with the Rev., David Sorensen officiating. Visitation was from noon until the time of the service at the church. Interment in Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
Arrangements were by Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.
