Jane Marjorie Nystrom
Jane Marjorie Nystrom, age 82, of Annandale, formerly of Cokato, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006 at the Annandale Care Center.
She was born March 19, 1924 in French Lake Township, to Fred and Ingeborg Hammersborg. Jane grew up, and spent most of her life on the home farm by Lake Francis. She attended school at Lake Francis, and graduated from Annandale High School.
She was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church, where she was a life-long member.
Jane married Kenneth Nystrom Sept. 27, 1947. They had four children, Karen, Ralph, Mike, and Carol.
In 1973, they left the farm and moved to Annandale, then later to Cokato. For the past seven years, Jane has been a resident of the Annandale Care Center.
Jane is survived by her children, Ralph (Carole) Nystrom of Cokato, and Carol (Steve) Symalla of Annandale; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; husband, Kenneth; daughter, Karen; and son, Mike.
Funeral service was Sunday, Aug. 6 at Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church of Cokato with the Rev. Lyndon Korhonen officiating. Music was by Linda Korhonen and Paul Erickson. Interment followed in Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Jed Nystrom, Mark Nystrom, Steve Symalla Jr., Nicholas Nystrom, Dale Peterka, and Kevin Peterka.
Arrangements were by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato.
