LeRoy Robert Pribyl
LeRoy Robert Pribyl, age 85, of Maple Plain, formerly of Maple Lake, died Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Haven Homes in Maple Plain.
He was born Jan. 6, 1921 to George and Amelia (Jindrich) Pribyl in Maple Lake Township.
LeRoy was a lifelong farmer in Maple Lake.
He was united in marriage to Martha B. Barthel June 9, 1956.
LeRoy and Martha were past members of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake, and were currently members of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto.
Upon retirement, they left their farm, but not the love of it. The land and the outdoors continued to be a passion. LeRoy and Martha became world travelers, seeing and enjoying many different places, including a 30-day African safari.
Spending time with family at home was always a highlight for LeRoy.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; his parents, George and Amelia Pribyl; brothers Clarence and Victor Pribyl; and sister-in-law Lydia Pribyl.
LeRoy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Martha; daughters Jane Pribyl, and Theresa and Ron Helmbrecht; two grandchildren, Scott and Laura Helmbrecht; sister-in-law Margaret Pribyl; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, July 6 at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto. Interment was in the St. Timothy Catholic Church cemetery in Maple Lake, with the Rev. Ray Kurtz officiating.
Visitation took place Wednesday, July 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, and continued Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Casket bearers were Tom Kotilinek, Peter Arco, Don Pribyl, Ralph Pribyl, Steve Barthel, and Paul Adam.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
