Zachary Vaughn Quern
Zachary Vaughn Quern was born Friday, June 23, 2006 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, along with his sister, Aubrey and brother, Isaac, to Steve and Amy (Nett) Quern of Cokato.
Zachary earned his wings Thursday, June 29, 2006. He was taken from us suddenly by an infection that he was unable to overcome, while at Children’s Medical Center in Minneapolis. Although his time on earth was short, he touched our lives forever.
Zachary is survived by his parents, Steve and Amy; twin older sisters, Addison and Bailey; sister Aubrey, and brother Isaac, all of Cokato; grandparents, Vaughn and Linda Quern, and Rod and Michelle Nett, all of Thompson, N.D.; aunts and uncles, Michael Quern, Kevin Nett, both of Grand Forks, N.D., Cindy and Tim Briggeman of Fargo, N.D., and Sarah and Jeff Neall of Salisbury, Md.; and great-grandparents Vernon and Florence Quern of Olso, Minn.; Olga Eichhorst of Thompson, N.D., Hank Wilhelmi of Kindred, N.D., and Paul and Eileen Nett of Minot, N.D.
Zachary was preceded in death by great-grandparents Elroy Eichhorst and Betty Jo Wilhelmi.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 6 at 10 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato with the Revs. Steve Thorson and William Cowan officiating. Music was by Karen Anderson, Mark Morris, Isaiah Morris, and Emily Latt.
Interment took place Thursday, July 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthews Lutheran Cemetery in Thompson, N.D.
Casket bearers were Kevin Nett and Michael Quern.
Arrangements were by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato.
