Mark Otto Schuster, age 52 of Howard Lake, died suddenly Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Mark was born June 18, 1953 in Minneapolis to Fred and Eleanor (Stauffacher) Schuster. He grew up in Minneapolis and Bloomington, attending Bloomington High School and graduated from Vocational High School of Minneapolis in 1971.
Mark worked at the family business on Lake Street, Uptown Pets of Minneapolis. He attended Brown Institute in Minneapolis. Mark worked in telecommunications for awhile, and in 1981 started 4-M Communications and in 1985 PMP Enterprises.
Mark was married to Mary Wehr on March 23, 1979 in Buffalo. They lived first in Delano, Montrose, Waverly, and moved to Howard Lake in 2000.
Mark enjoyed hunting, gun collecting, camping, bon fires, bowling, reading, yard work, woodworking, and tackling unique projects. He was a member of West Side CB Radio Club and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Mark is survived by his wife, Mary, of Howard Lake; children, Miranda “Mandy” Schuster, of Silver Lake; Melina (Peter) Osness, of Dassel; and Marissa Schuster, of Howard Lake; his mother, Eleanor Schuster, of Howard Lake; sister Fritzine (Gene) Madzo, of Vergas; grandchildren, Hailey Schuster, Logan Osness, Shawn McHugh and Noelle Osness.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Fred, sister, Linda Gladden, and niece, Shelley Kunitz.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 13 at 2 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake.
Visitation took place Monday, June 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home, and continued Tuesday for one hour prior to the funeral service.
Honorary Casket Bearers were, J. R. Pogue, Greg Pogue, Brian Loycano, Jim Wehr, Rae Wehr, Bob Von Ende, Tom McHugh, and Pete Osness.
Arrangements were by Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake.
