Beverly Jean Sironen obituary, 11/3/06


A memorial service took place Sunday, July 15 at Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted for Beverly Jean (Kubasch) Sironen, age 72, of Highlands Ranch, Colo., formerly of Winsted, who died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006.
The memorial service was at 1 p.m., with a time for friends to call preceding the service, beginning at noon. Interment was in the Winsted Public Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 12, 1934 in Bowlus, Minn., the third child of Herbert and Goldina Kubasch. Beverly was baptized Nov. 4, 1934 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, New Germany, by the Rev. Theo Rolf; and confirmed March 30, 1947 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Winsted, by the Rev. A. F. Vomhoff.
Beverly attended elementary school in Winsted, and graduated from public high school in Howard Lake. As a young teenager, she played the organ at her home church, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Winsted.
She attended and graduated from Glenwood Hills School of Psychiatric Nursing, Golden Valley, in 1954.
Beverly was united in holy matrimony to Reuben Sironen July 1, 1961 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Livermore, Calif. by the Rev. Hilton Schlecht. Two children blessed their marriage.
The family moved to Boulder, Colo. in 1970, where they became members of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church. Beverly was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Hospitality Circle, and Ladies’ Evening Bible Study, served on the choir, and taught Sunday school.
Her cherished memories included bringing devotions to nursing home patients and teaching the Sunday school class for the developmentally disabled.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Reuben; daughter Ania Smith and fiancé Cody Buchanan of Santa Fe, N.M.; son Joel, daughter-in-law Denise, and grandsons Jack, Alexander, and Charles of Centennial, Colo.; and a brother, Gordon, of Winsted.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Milo.
