JoAnn E. Sneer JoAnn E. (nee Jensen) Sneer, age 74, of Winsted, died peacefully Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in Hutchinson. JoAnn was the former publisher/editor of the Winsted Journal newspaper. She was a member of the Eastern Star, served as a council member in Winsted, was a member of the Pioneer Library Board, the founder of the Winsted Library, and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard Lake. JoAnn is survived by her loving husband, Floyd; daughter Brenda Alvis; son Timothy; grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan, and Miranda Jo Alvis; sister Lois Smith of Humboldt, Tenn., and many other relatives. A memorial service will take place Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard Lake. A private graveside service will be at Winsted Public Cemetery. Arrangements are by Chilson Funeral Chapel in Winsted.
