La Jean L. Stahlke obituary, 11/5/06


LaJean L. Stahlke, age 65, of Edina, formerly of New Germany, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
LaJean was born July 25, 1941 in Watertown, the daughter of Ralph H. and Lorna E. (Krause) Stahlke. She was baptized Aug. 17, 1941 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany by the Rev. Theodore Rolf, and confirmed at the same April 3, 1955 by the Rev. Henry Weseloh.
A kind and loving person, LaJean loved to travel. Needlepoint, embroidery, crocheting, and cross stitching were some of her favorite hobbies.
LaJean is survived by her loving family; brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Connie Stahlke of New Germany; and sister Lynda Stahlke of Mound; nieces and nephews Ricky and Shelley Stahlke, Gary and Cathy Stahlke, Kristi and Andy Larsen, and Cammi Stahlke; great-nieces and nephews Ryan and Amber, Reed, Sarah, Brenna, Olivia, Claudia and Weston; great-great niece Paige; aunts and uncle Irene Stahlke of Waconia, and Dwain and Ruth Stahlke of Spring Park; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Lorna Stahlke; great-niece Tara Stahlke; great-nephew Everett Stahlke; grandparents; aunts; and uncles.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany with the Rev. Allen Holthus officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be offered for two hours prior to the service at the church Saturday.
Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
