Vivian E. Arndt

Vivian E. Arndt, age 59, of Cologne, died Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007, at her home.

She was born March 17, 1948 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Bernard and Deloris (Nitz) Winter. Vivian was baptized in the Lutheran church in Blue Earth.

She was united in marriage to Jerold R. Arndt Oct. 21, 1967 in Blue Earth.

A beloved wife, mom, and grandma, Vivian enjoyed life to the fullest. She liked traveling; Texas was one of her favorite vacation destinations. She was talented musically, especially with the piano, and enjoyed going to toy shows.

Vivian was employed at the Ridgeview Medical Center, in the office, and enjoyed her job immensely.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Deloris Winter; brother Randy Winter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Blanche Arndt; and brother-in-law Gary Arndt.

Vivian is survived by her loving family: husband Jerry; sons Jerad Arndt of Cologne, Benji Arndt of Arlington, and Ryan Arndt and special friend Amber Rose of Milwaukee, Wis.; her honorary daughter and husband, Peggy and Joe Garofano of New Prague; and grandchildren Sierra, Nina, Nick, Sami, and Joey.

She is further survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Marlene Isenberg and friend Don of Monticello, Weldon and Bonnie Arndt of Champlin, Milden and Marlene Arndt of Guckeen, Dale and Phyllis Arndt of Waseca, Janice and Gary Phillip of Monticello, and Margie Arndt of Blaine; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services took place Thursday, April 12 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Waconia, with the Rev. Jason Okrzynski officiating.

Casket bearers were Kevin Saxton, Scott Arndt, Joe Garofano, Justin Arndt, Kelly Crum, and Bobby LaTuff.

Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
