Scott Jason Bendixen
Scott Jason Bendixen, age 29, died Sunday, May 20, 2007 in Fairmont.
Scott was born Aug. 19, 1977 to Ronald and Linda (Glaser) Bendixen in Webster, South Dakota. He attended school in Webster and graduated from high school in 1996, where he participated in sports, music, and journalism activities. He attended St. Cloud State University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management and finance. He was also a licensed pilot.
Scott worked for a time as assistant general manager at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport before he moved into banking. He worked as a bank officer at Wells Fargo in Minneapolis and Citizens State Bank in Waverly. He then spent two years working as a bank consultant with Prairie Consulting before accepting the position of chief sales officer at Profinium Financial in Fairmont, Minn.
Scott married Susan Larson on December 22, 2001 in Morris, and the family made their home in Buffalo, Minn. He enjoyed golf, lake activities, flying and especially enjoyed spending time with his son.
He is survived by his wife, Susan, his son, Gavin; his parents Linda and Bruce Olson of Sioux Falls; a brother, Matt Bendixen of Minneapolis; a sister, Christine Haerich (Jason); one nephew, Talon Haerich; and one niece, Hannah Haerich.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Bendixen.
A funeral mass took place at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at St. Michael’s Church in Sioux Falls. Visitation with family present took place Friday, May 25, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. His online obituary and register book can be seen at www.consolingmemories.com.
