Kenneth Eugene Boelter
Kenneth Eugene Boelter, age 71, of New Ulm, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Delano.
He was born Aug. 17, 1935 to Emil and Martha (Schroeder) Boelter in New Ulm. Kenneth was baptized Sept. 15, 1935, and confirmed April 2, 1950, both at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
Kenneth attended school in New Ulm and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1954.
He was united in marriage to Terry Rebmann Nov. 22, 1958.
Ken was employed by Emil Boelter Road Construction from 1954-1970, Boelter Road Construction Inc. from 1970-1985, Wallner Road Construction from 1986-1987, and Mathiowetz Road Construction from 1988-1997. He retired in 1997.
He also served in the Army Reserve.
Ken enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
Ken is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Todd and Deborah Boelter of Waverly, Kory and Angela Boelter of Coon Rapids, and Timothy and Kimberly Boelter of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Monica, Matthew, Mason, Reece, Tessa, and Joshua; sisters and brother-in-law, Janet and Lloyd Mortenson of Litchfield, and Darleen King of Minnetonka; and brothers and sister-in-law, Donald and Yvonne Boelter of New Richmond and Gene Boelter of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kathleen Boelter; lifelong friend Terry Boelter; brother Marvin Boelter; and sisters, Carolyn Boelter, in infancy, and Leora Throolin.
Funeral service was Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with the Rev. Timothy Smith officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation took plce Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm, and continued Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements were by the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
