Elaine Mary Farniok
Elaine Mary Farniok, age 68, of Delano, died accidentally Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007.
She was born Nov. 28, 1938 in Waverly, the daughter of Emil and Mildred LePage Dalbec.
Elaine graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Waverly in 1956.
Elaine and Wallace M. Farniok were joined in holy marriage May 15, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. God blessed their marriage with a son, Troy.
Elaine was employed for 32 years by the Bracken family.
She enjoyed outings with her many friends.
A faithful member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Delano, Elaine also belonged to the Buffalo American Legion Auxiliary Post 270.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wally M. Farniok; a son, Troy Farniok of Waverly; grandchildren Kenny and Jacqueline Farniok; a sister, Annella (John) Gjertsen of Big Lake; nieces Betsy (Chris) Leonard and Debbie (Mike) Horsch; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and other relatives and friends.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Mildred Dalbec; a brother and sister-in-law, Ambrose and Adeline Dalbec; and by a nephew, Ronald Endres.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Delano. Father Michael Miller was the celebrant for the Mass. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Delano.
Visitation took place at the church Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Casket bearers were Mike Horsch, Chris Leonard, John Gjertsen, Paul Farniok, Rich Farniok, and Jeff Meuleners.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
