Patricia Ann Craswell Hastings, age 57, of Litchfield, formerly of Dassel, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview in Minneapolis.
She was born Feb. 5, 1950, in Minneapolis, to Mary and Harold Craswell. Patricia attended and graduated from the Dassel High School in 1969.
She was united in marriage to Michael Hastings June 3, 1978, in North Dakota.
Patty loved home and family, all holidays, especially Christmas. She also enjoyed taking photos, scrapbooking, reading, and tending her flowers. Patty loved traveling, and had wonderful times with Tina, Annie, and Mama in Florida, Georgia, and Vermont.
While it always suited Patty to be a homemaker, in later years, she became a veteran caregiver through hospice service to Selma Hastings, Cynthia Craswell Hemple, and Harold Craswell.
Patty is survived by her husband, Michael Hastings Sr. of Litchfield; children, Jessica Gaskins of Kingsland, Ga., Tina Marie Hastings, Chad (Kasey) Hastings, and Michael Jr. (Stacy) Hastings, all of Litchfield; four grandchildren, Baily and Kaily Hastings, and Faith and Ian Hastings; mother, Mary Ann Craswell of Litchfield; sisters Gail (Walter) Cagney of Mineral Bluff, Ga., and Anna (Gary) Luoto of Dassel; brother Harold Craswell Jr., of Bradley, Ill.; and many loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Craswell; and her sister, Cynthia Craswell Hemple.
A memorial service took place Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel. There was a time to gather with family and friends one hour prior to the service. The interment of the urn will take place at a later date.
The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel handled the arrangements.
