Norma Jane Kassulker

Norma Jane Kassulker, age 77, of Hollywood Township, Mayer, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007 at the Elim Home in Watertown.

She was born Jan. 17, 1930 in Hamel, the daughter of William and Emma (Rux) Dalbec. Norma was baptized Feb. 9, 1930 at Cross Lutheran Church, Rockford, by the Rev. H. Nitz, and confirmed April 18, 1943 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Chuch in Delano by the Rev. Bruns.

Norma was united in marriage to Gordon C. Kassulker April 23, 1954 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano by the Rev. M. J. Lenz.

Norma was a loving wife, mom, grandma, daughter, and sister. She had a strong faith and loved her church and working with the LWML.

She enjoyed doing kind deeds for people, and especially loved baking, especially banana bread and making peanut brittle. In addition, Norma loved spending time with family and friends.

Norma is survived by her loving family, sons Keith Kassulker of Jordan, Kent Kassulker of Mayer, and Kerry (Louanne) Kassulker of Delano; grandchildren Kayla Kassulker and friend Kody, and Tyler Kassulker; sister Audrey Brueggemeier; nieces and nephews Dean and Cheryl Brueggemeier of Winsted, Ted and Beth Robinson of Maple Plain, Neal Brueggemeier of Annandale, and Chad and Pam Brueggemeier of Mayer; and many great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Kassulker; parents William and Emma Dalbec; baby brother Nathan Dalbec; father-in-law and mother-in-law Howard and Malinda Kassulker; and brother-in-law Orville Brueggemeier.

Funeral service was Thursday Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Twp., New Germany, with the Rev. Robert Rupprecht officiating. Interment was at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Dean Brueggemeier, Neal Brueggemeier, Chad Brueggemeier, Ted Robinson, Orville Hecksel, Ronald Kassulker, and Virgil Hecksel.

Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
