Eldon Frank Klugow obituary, 5/28/07


Eldon Frank Klugow, age 83, of Middleville Township, died Monday, May 28, 2007 at his home.
He was born Oct. 6, 1923 on the family farm in Howard Lake to Otto and Lena (Frank) Klugow. Eldon attended country school in Middleville Township.
He was married to Mary Casey Dec. 31, 1945 at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake.
Eldon farmed north of Howard Lake by the Crow River, hauled corn and peas for Green Giant and worked many years as a maintenance man for Payco Seeds and Garst.
Eldon loved the outdoors, working on things, his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with kids.
He is survived by his sons, Roy (Darlene) Klugow, Roger Klugow, and Randy (Susan) Klugow; grandchildren, Becky, Sharon, Diane, Andrew, Amber, Karissa, Katie, and Steven; great-grandchildren, Derrell, Heather, Devin, and Jaden; great, great-grandson, Anthony; and a brother, Marvin Klugow.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary; daughter Gena; sisters Sib and Elvira; and brother Myron.
Funeral services were Friday, June 1 at 2 p.m. at Albion Evangelical Free Church with the Rev. Philip Geoffrion officiating. Music was provided by Beverly Lund. Interment was in Sylvan Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Raymond Casey, Robert Casey, William Klugow, Wayne Lemke, Darrell Muehlenhardt, and Wayne Norby.
Arrangements were by the Swanson peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake.
