Leonard John Ludescher obituary, 6/10/07


Leonard John Ludescher, age 91, of Delano, died Sunday, June 10, 2007.
He was born March 3, 1916 to Joseph and Rose (Lamothe) Ludescher in Perham, Minn.
Leonard was a submarine machinist serving in the Navy during World War II.
He retired from Honeywell Defense Systems Division, and was a lifelong resident of Delano.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose Ludescher; brothers, Vernon, Austin, and Mark; and a sister, Eleanor Vertnik.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lucille; son Karl Ludescher and Susan Mueller; daughter Jean Ludescher and life partner George Rapaich; sister-in-law Norma Wandersee; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, June 14 at the St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, concelebrated by the Revs. Michael Miller and Kenneth Ludescher. Interment was in the church cemetery with military honors provided by Delano American Legion Post. 377.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
