Dale William Marshall

Dale William Marshall, age 73, of Hutchinson, formerly of Lester Prairie, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at Burns Manor in Hutchinson.

He was born Nov. 14, 1933 in Winsted.

Dale was baptized and confirmed at the Presbyterian church in Winsted.

He married Marlys Posusta July 7, 1962. They had three children.

Dale was a dairy farmer near Lester Prairie for most of his life. He also drove truck hauling grain, and hauling can milk to the creamery when his children were young.

Dale married Carol Dostal at Faith Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake Sept. 7, 1991. He enjoyed spending time with his stepchildren and thought the world of them.

Dale enjoyed garage sales, traveling, and spending time with his brother, Jon. He loved the outdoors, the land, and fishing.

He suffered the last two years of his life with emphezema and lung cancer and was lovingly cared for by Carol, Jon, and Jon’s wife, Nancy.

For many years, Dale was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mathilda Marshall.

Dale is survived by his wife, Carol; son James of Lester Prairie; daughter Wanda (Reed) Birkholz of Lester Prairie; son Douglas of Hutchinson; granddaughter Amber Birkholz of Hutchinson; brother Jon Marshall and wife, Nancy; niece Lori; stepchildren Bob Dostal, Randy Dostal, and Debra Johnson; and other family members and friends.

A memorial service took place Monday, Sept. 10 at Faith Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake. Interment was Sunday, Sept. 23 at Winsted Cemetary.
