Hubert Brown Miller
Hubert Brown Miller, age 85, of Litchfield, formerly of Dassel, died Monday morning, March 26, 2007 at the Meeker County Community Homes in Litchfield.
He was born Feb. 10, 1922 in Milnor, N.D., the son of Alvin and Dorothy (Brown) Miller. He attended Washington Mills school, west of Dassel.
Hubert lived with his mother and brother after his father’s death in 1949. Upon their deaths, he went to live with his sister and brother-in-law, Gerald and Audrey Euerle. He later moved to the Meeker County Community Homes in Litchfield, where he has resided since.
Hubert had been employed at the ProWorks in Litchfield. He was very happy and content at both the Meeker County Community Home and ProWorks. He had many friends among co-workers and staff, and his life was very fulfilled.
Hubert attended many churches in the area, mainly Zion Lutheran and St. Phillips Catholic Church in Litchfield.
A quiet, gentle soul, Hubert loved to play with the children that came to the home. He also enjoyed dancing and listening to music. He especially enjoyed the group trip that he took to Branson.
He will deeply be missed by family and friends.
Hubert is survived by two sisters, Norma Abbott of Dassel and Audrey (Gerald) Euerle of Litchfield; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Clyde Miller; and an infant niece.
A memorial service took place Thursday evening, March 29 at 7 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel. Sheldon Hedin was the soloist, and also officiated at the service. Janet Latt was the organist. The service was followed by inurnment at the Dassel Cemetery.
The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel handled the arrangements.
