Joseph “Jerry” Oberaigner

Joseph “Jerry” Oberaigner, age 74, of Delano, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

A memorial service will take place today, Aug. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano with Deacon Joseph Kittok officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will precede the service, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jerry was born June 17, 1933 to Joseph and Louise (Musty) Oberaigner in Red Wing.

A veteran, Jerry served in the Army during the Korean war.

He was an avid outdoorsman, lifetime automobile mechanic, and businessman.

Jerry is survived by his children, son Scott and LeeAnn Oberaigner, and daughter Sue and Richard Gallus; grandchildren Brittany, Kelli, Kami, Connie, Morgan, Chelsea, and Hunter; brother Robert and Carol Oberaigner; sister Delores Kenealey; and mother of Scott and Sue, Sharon Oberaigner.

Arrangements are by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
