Edward Pariseau obituary, 7/18/07


Edward C. Pariseau, age 58, of Winsted, died peacefully at home Wednesday, July 18, 2007 following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 2, 1949 in St. Paul, the son of Leo and Edith Parsons Pariseau.
Edward and Barbara M. Janikula were joined in holy marriage Sept. 8, 1972 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. God blessed their marriage with three children.
Ed was employed for 34 years at Nil-Fisk Advance in Plymouth.
He was an avid sportsman, and especially enjoyed summer vacations with his family.
Ed is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Daniel (Tamara) Pariseau of Hutchinson, Jared Pariseau of Frazee (special friend Traci Sternberg), and Matthew Pariseau of Winsted (special friend Jenna Foust); and three grandchildren, Dylan, Justin, and Lindsey.
He is further survived by his mother, Edith Laxen of Cokato; brothers Gary Pariseau, Tim (Mary) Laxen, and Bernie Laxen; a sister, Gail Kallenbach; sister-in-law Linda Pariseau, all of Winsted; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Duane (Gloria) Janikula of Waverly; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Leo Pariseau; and his stepfather, Art Laxen.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with private interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Father William A. Sprigler was the celebrant for the Mass.
Visitation preceded the Mass, beginning at 3 p.m., at the church.
Casket bearers were Dwight Dukhorn, John Dukhorn, Stan Ernhart, John Genty, Dick Norman, and Tony Remer.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
