Irma Anna Peltz
Irma Anna Peltz, age 79, of Buffalo, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 at Golden Living Center in Delano.
She was born Feb. 23, 1928 in Young America to Emil and Hilma (Barlau) Arndt. Irma was baptized at the home place by the Rev. M. F. Abraham May 4, 1928, and confirmed in her faith March 29, 1942 by the Rev. W. O. Kramer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America.
Irma graduated from Central High School Norwood Young America in 1946.
She married Harold Peltz at St. John’s in Young America June 7, 1950, and together, they farmed.
Irma enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening (especially flowers), and watching birds, but caring for her husband and children was her primary love.
She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo.
Irma is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold; sons Edward of Buffalo, and David (Linda) of Golden Valley; grandchildren Patrick (Kim), and Thomas; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard, in 1976; her parents; and a sister, Ruth Dalchow.
Funeral service was Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Peterson Chapel-Buffalo with Pastor Christian Bode officiating. Visitation preceded the service. Interment was at Scandia Cemetery in Waconia.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
