Todd Lee Piehl, age 48, of Minnetonka, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale from complications following a brain aneurysm.
He was born Jan. 6, 1959, in Hutchinson to Douglas and Frances (McBride) Piehl. Todd grew up in Hector and graduated from Howard Lake High School with the class of 1977.
Following graduation, Todd went to college in Morris, St. Cloud State, and Control Data Institute.
Todd used his expertise with computers working for different companies including Share Insurance, Capital One, Sungard, Best Buy, Allina, and most recently, Medica.
He enjoyed playing cards, and watching horse racing and sports, especially football and basketball. He also had a love for traveling.
Todd is survived by his mother, Frances Piehl of Howard Lake; sisters, Jill (Stan) Ernhart of Winsted and Beth (John) VonEschen of St. Louis Park; nieces and nephews, Ann (Drew) Stifter, Jacob Ernhart, and Luke, Lauren and Mitchell VonEschen; and numerous other family and friends.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Douglas.
Funeral service was Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard Lake with the Rev. Joel Swedberg officiating. Music was provided by Michelle Gehrz. Private family interment took place at Howard Lake City Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake.
