Mark Fredrick Piekarski
Mark Fredrick Piekarski, age 45, of Waverly, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 at his home.
He was born Aug. 3, 1961 in Minneapolis to Fredrick and Jean (Cimenski) Piekarski. Mark grew up in Plymouth, graduating from Benilde St. Margaret High School with the class of 1980. During high school, he ran on the cross country team.
Mark then went on to Hennepin Technical College to pursue a degree in architectural drafting.
He was employed at Olympic Wall Systems from 1980 to 1983. Mark then went to work for himself as a drywall finisher.
He had previously lived in Hamel and Champlin, before residing in Waverly for the past 10 years.
Mark had many interests, one of which was country dancing. While dancing at the Medina Ballroom, he met his wife, Connie. They were married March 15, 1996.
His other interests included their 40-acre farm in Waverly, raising pheasants, training dogs, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. Mark built his own home, and was especially proud of his milk house.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters Toni, Angie, and Jessica; grandchildren Austin, Morgan, Madison, McKenzie, and Willie; parents Fredrick and Jean Piekarski; brothers Paul (Kimberly) Piekarski, and Michael Piekarski; sisters Cari (Dino) Mora, and Maria Piekarski; nephew John; niece Sophia; and his dogs, Gunner and Nikki.
Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly with Fr. Timothy Cloutier and Deacon Michael Thoennes as celebrants. Music was provided by Mae Wannarka and Marge Stueven.
Casketbearers were Glen Rodberg, Dino Mora, Drew Shrack, Michael Piekarski, Brian Shrack, and Paul Piekarski.
Honorary bearers were Joe Dzurik, Rick Dzurik, and Danny Cimenski.
Arrangements were by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake.
