Ardis Robinson obituary, 5/24/07


Ardis Loretta Robinson, age 87, of Hastings, formerly of Howard Lake, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Regina Nursing Home in Hastings.
She was born Sept. 12, 1919 at Centennial Twp, Iowa, the daughter of Martin and Josephine (Anderson) Henrickson. She grew up in Inwood, Iowa, where she was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Ardis married Elmer Robinson Feb. 3, 1940 at the First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake. Ardis and Elmer farmed the Robinson home farm for nearly 40 years before retiring and building a house across the road from their farm.
Ardis enjoyed taking winter trips to Arizona with Elmer, as well as spending time crocheting, quilting, and minding her flower gardens. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; and her parents.
Ardis is survived by her children, Dennis (Ariena) Robinson of Red Wing, and Carol (Duane) Kramer of Herndon, Va.; two brothers, Ernest Henrickson and Bill (Margaret) Henrickson; two sisters, Eleanor Scapanski and Alice Schmidt; and four grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Robinson, and Jeffrey and Nicholas Kramer.
Funeral services were Sunday, May 27 at the First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake with the Rev. Myra Carroll-Pezzella officiating. Music was provided by Mae Beth Wannarka and Bonnie Seegmiller. Interment was at the Howard Lake City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons Kyle and Ryan Robinson, and Jeffrey and Nicholas Kramer, and nephews Terry Robinson and Roger Hendrickson.
Arrangements were by the Swanson Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake.
