Hilma E. Rolf
Hilma E. Rolf, age 91, of Norwood Young America, died Thursday Jan. 25, 2007 at the Elim Home in Watertown.
She was born Aug. 3, 1915 in Benton Twp, Carver County, the daughter of Fred H. and Helen (Paschka) Wildung. Hilma was baptized Aug. 22, 1915 at Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Twp., Cologne, by the Rev. August Rehwaldt, and confirmed at the same church April 13, 1930 by the Rev. Herman AmEnd.
Hilma was united in marriage to Edwin H. Rolf Jan. 17, 1934 at Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Twp., by Rev. Herman AmEnd.
A loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma, family was always very important to her to Hilma.
She loved Zion Lutheran Church and was a member of Ladies Aid and choir.
She also enjoyed old tyme music, dancing, flowers, and gardening.
Hilma was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; granddaughter Kathryn Rolf; father and mother, Fred and Helen Wildung; stepmother Anna (Dorothy) Wildung; brother Donald Wildung; sister Gloria Gates; brothers-in-law Carl Stender and Frank Gates; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Frieda Rolf; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Bertha and Fred Quaas, Martha (Matzie) Schmidt, Marvin Rolf, and Renata Loehrs.
She is survived by her loving family: son and daughter-in-law, Wallace and Delphine Rolf of Norwood Young America; daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Vernon Rosckes of Watertown, and Ruth Ann and Jon Hammarberg of Plymouth; and grandchildren Cindy and Michael Borchert of Norwood Young America, Steven and Kim Rolf of Waconia, Kevin and Ellen Rolf of Victoria, Russell and Diane Rolf of Waconia, David and Joni Rolf of Norwood Young America, Douglas and Tracy Rolf of Waconia, Deborah and Scott Koehnen, Brenda and Paul Fritzke, Daniel and Kathy Rosckes, all of Watertown, Robert and Sandra Rosckes, Michelle and Lee Dalchow, all of Hanover, and Gretchen Hammarberg of Canyon Lake, Calif.
Hilma is further survived by great-grandchildren Matthew, Zachary, Kaitlyn, Abby, Taylor, Brady, Cory, Kelsey, Emily, Maggie, Derek, April, Shawn, Mike and Kelli, Aaron, Matt, Shantell, Rachel, Charles, Jacey, Jake, Lexie, Kora, and Kena; great-great-grandchildren Kaila, Karissa, and John; a sister, Leona Stender of Waconia. sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ordelia Wildung of Watertown, Erna and Ardell Wolter, Mabel and Glenard Lenz, Erwin Schmidt, all of Norwood Young America, Erland Loehrs of Waconia, and Eunice and Harold Bruesehoff of Cologne; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was Sunday Jan. 28 at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Twp., Cologne with the Rev. Eric Zacharias officiating. Interment was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Cologne.
Casket bearers were her grandchildren.
Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
