Rosemary C. Roufs, age 89, of Bemidji, and formerly of Winsted, died early Tuesday morning, July 10, 2007 at Havenwood Care Center.
She was born Jan. 9, 1918 in Watertown the daughter of Joseph and Frances Kuka Campbell.
Rosemary and Leverne E. Roufs were joined in holy marriage April 28, 1941, in San Diego, Calif. God blessed their marriage with five children.
Rosemary was employed for many years in the kitchen of Holy Trinity Schools.
She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Rosemary is survived by her children: Robert (Judi) Roufs of Minnetonka, Kenneth (Cheryl) Roufs of Red Wing, Jim (Pat) Roufs, Mary Jo Roufs (Mark Haluptzok), all of Bemidji, and Kathryn (William) Strycker of Walkerton, Ind.; three grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren; a sister, Dolores (Anthony) Kruse of Richfield; a brother, John Campbell of Watertown; sisters-in-law Afra Roufs, Eileen Campbell, and Helen Campbell; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Leverne E. Roufs, Nov. 8, 2006; her parents, Joseph and Frances Campbell; and by her brothers, Peter and Francis Campbell.
A Mass of Chrisitian Burial took place Saturday, July 14 at noon at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, preceded by visitation at the church two hours prior to the Mass. Father William A. Sprigler was the celebrant, and Alice Nowak was the organist for the Mass. Interment was at the Holy Trinity Cemetery.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
