John Adolph Ruud & Dale Delight Ruud
John Adolph Ruud, age 79, and Dale Delight Ruud, age 71, died together as the result of a car accident Tuesday, May 15, 2007 near Kingman, Ariz.
Memorial services will take place Tuesday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home in Edina.
John was born May 16, 1927 to Thorf and Anita (Sten) Ruud in Delano.
He was a member of the VFW, a 32nd Degree Mason, and liked to go fishing. A very friendly person, John was a great story teller and had a lot of friends.
He saved many peoples’ lives with resuscitation and was even given an award for it.
John was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Ruud; and a brother, Frank Ruud.
Dale was born to Jack and Garnet (White) Kelber June 16, 1936 in Queens, N.Y. She worked hard at everything she did, and especially enjoyed knitting, sewing, computers, crafts, professional cake decorating and breeding purebred Schnauzers.
Dale had a very big heart and would go out of her way to help others.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Dingley Jr.; and a sister, Joy Kelber.
Dale is survived by her first husband, Richard Dingley Sr.
John and Dale are also survived by their loving family: sons, George Ruud and Donald Wheat, both of Minnesota, Frank Ruud of Alabama, and Boyd Ruud of Minnesota; daughters, Lisa Ruud Shook of Nevada and Denise Spike of Minnesota; Dale’s brother, Wes Kelber; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five nephews; one niece; and their loyal companion, Tristan.
Arrangements were handled by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory in Arizona.
