Frances C. Salonek, age 95, of Watertown, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
She was born Jan. 26, 1912 to Joseph and Rose (Babatz) Ceryes in Superior, Wis.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; son-in-law George Swartzer; sisters Gertrude Salonek and Esther Cardinal; brothers Edward Ceryes and an infant boy Ceryes; and brothers-in-law Phillip Salonek and John Cardinal.
She is survived by her children: Dorothy and George Campbell, Irene and Walter Swartzer, Marvin and Isie Salonek, Marge and Mylen Cardinal, and Rosemary Swartzer; and 16 grandchildren: Rick and Kathy Campbell, Jeff and Lisa Campbell, David and Mary Swartzer, Ronald and Carmen Swartzer, Jim and Kristie Swartzer, Julie and Mark Hecksel, Kenneth and Jackie Swartzer, Kevin Salonek, Connie and Greg Theisen, Karen and Gary Templin, Anna Remer, Debbie and Larry Pastorek, Tim and Kathy Cardinal, Dale and Karen Cardinal, Todd Swartzer, and Laurie and Jim Drause.
Frances is further survived by 31 great-grandchildren; 10 great, great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Naomi Ceryes.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church in rural Delano with the Rev. Joseph Gallatin officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday, April 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home, with a 4:30 p.m. prayer service, and continued Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church, prior to the Mass.
Casket bearers were Frances’ grandsons: Rick Campbell, Jeff Campbell, David Swartzer, Ronald Swartzer, James Swartzer, Kenneth Swartzer, Tim Cardinal, Dale Cardinal, Todd Swartzer, and Kevin Salonek.
Arrangements were by the Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home.
