Clinton J. Snicker obituary, 4/7/07


Clinton J. Snicker, age 94, of Watertown, died Saturday April 7, 2007 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
He was born April 9, 1912 in Watertown Twp., Carver County, the son of Joseph and Lena (Lenz) Snicker. Clinton was baptized and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown.
He was united in marriage to Marina M. Ebert Nov. 12, 1935 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius.
Clinton enjoyed farming, fishing, gardening, and old tyme music. He was involved in many church affairs and attended numerous church dinners.
He is survived by his loving family: daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dale Hallaway of Richfield; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Char Snicker of Loretto; grandchildren, Becky Hallaway of Burnsville, and Dale Hallaway Jr. of Bloomington; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Dayton; sister-in-law Georgia Snicker of Delano; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Clinton was preceded in death by his wife, Marina; parents Joseph and Lena Snicker; brothers Sylvester, Joseph, John, and Roy “Blackie” Snicker; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Elizabeth Ebert; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry Ebert, Norbert Ebert, Gertrude Salden, Helen Luedtke, and Ruth Crotwell.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Wednesday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown with the Rev. Frank Wampach as celebrant of the Mass. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Casket bearers were Tom Snicker, Jim Snicker, David Snicker, Ed Sonicker, Pat Salden, Wayne Luedtke, Ray Luedtke, and Jim Luedtke.
Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
