Larry Roy Stahlberg, age 49, of Loretto, and formerly of St. Michael, died suddenly in Elk River Sunday, May 6, 2007.
He was born July 16, 1957 in Minneapolis, the son of Leroy and Sherrie (Perkins) Stahlberg.
Larry attended St. Michael-Albertville High School, graduating in 1975.
Over the years, he developed a love for fishing, playing horseshoes, snowmobiling, classic rock music, homemade cooking, and ‘tweaking’ things.
Larry really enjoyed his employment with Ingle-Side Engineering and the knowledge he gained from well-drilling, mound and irrigation systems.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Stahlberg; mother, Sherrie Schmid and her husband, Charles Schmid Sr.; brother Chuck Schmid Jr.; and grandparents.
Larry is survived by his son, Chad Sellman of Zimmerman; daughter Lindsay Stahlberg-Linny of Andover; sister Linda (Russell) Zachman of St. Michael; brother Dave Schmid of Elk River; nephews, nieces and many good friends and relatives.
A memorial service took place Saturday, May 12 at 11 a.m. at the Peterson Chapel, St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home, with visitation starting two hours prior to the service.
Arrangements were by the Peterson Chapel, St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.
