Patricia Ann Sturman obituary, 8/1/07


Patricia Ann Sturman, age 55, of Buffalo, formerly of Cokato, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007 at her REM home in Buffalo.
She was born Sept. 10, 1951 in Minneapolis to Royal and Glenna (Drews) Sturman. They lived in Golden Valley and Wayzata. Patty went to school at Crawford Lake in Silver Creek, and Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato.
She moved to Dassel in 1975 and attended the Day Activity Center in Litchfield. In June of 1988, Patty moved to Cokato and worked at Functional Industries.
Patty moved to the Cokato Manor in 2005, then to the Mykkanen Group Home in Annandale. Most recently, she was a resident at the REM Home in Buffalo. While in Buffalo, she attended the seniors’ program and Functional Industries.
Patty enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. She liked to type on the computer, and had aspirations of being a teacher one day. Her favorite car was a white Chevrolet. She liked to fix her hair and paint her nails, and she was very good at folding clothes.
Patty is survived by her mother, Glenna, of Cokato; and brother, Daniel, of Annandale.
She was preceded in death by her father, Royal; and brothers, James, and Dennis.
Funeral service was Monday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. at the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato with Paul Gustafson officiating. Music was provided by Linnea Holm. Interment was in the Delano City Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Swanson Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato.
