Donald W. Tellers
Donald W. Tellers, age 80, of Chaska, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born Oct. 12, 1926 in Waconia Twp., the son of Henry and Marie M. (Huckenpoehler) Tellers. Donald was baptized at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia, and confirmed at St. Victoria Catholic Church in Victoria.
He was united in marriage to Mary R. Klein Nov. 14, 1950 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia.
Donald was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. He loved music, especially the Hank Tellers band, which Donald was a part of in the 1940s.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Marie Tellers; sisters, Evangeline Tellers and Margaret Widmer; brothers-in-law George Plekkenpol and John (Huns) Klein Jr.; and nephew Larry Plekkenpol.
Donald is survived by his loving family: wife Mary; children and spouses, Duane Tellers, Michael and Donna Tellers, all of Chaska, Diane Wabbe of Waconia, and Jeanie and John Buckentine of Chaska; and grandchildren and spouses, Nathan and Angela Tellers, Heidi Tellers and special friend Daniel Schmidt, Cory Tellers, John and Sarah Wabbe, David Wabbe, Michael Buckentine, Katie Buckentine and Anna Buckentine.
He is further survived by sister and brothers-in-law Marion and Al Schueren of Green Isle, and Harold Widmer of Cologne; sister-in-law Ruth Eiden of Waconia; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia with Father Lawrence Blake as the celebrant. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
Donald’s grandchildren were his casket bearers.
