Anna Theresia Wemhoff obituary, 9/4/07


Anna Theresia Wemhoff, age 88, of Winsted, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 4, 2007 at her residence. She was born on Nov. 27, 1918 in Victor Township, Wright County, the daughter of Henry Loebertmann Jr. and Theresia (Kieser) Loebertmann. She was baptized and confirmed at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Anna was a welder at Millerbernd’s during World War II.  She did seasonal work for Green Giant for many years, then worked full time for many years at Edco Products.
She lived her entire life in the Winsted area, except one year on a farm in Nebraska. On April 3, 1945, Anna Theresia Loebertmann and William John Wemhoff were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.  God blessed their marriage with six children.
She was a lifelong, faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, and belonged to its C.C.W.  Anna was also a member of the Winsted American Legion Post 407 Auxiliary. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker.  She enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, crocheting, handcrafting and word puzzles.
Anna is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, William J. Wemhoff; six children: Joan (Larry) Karg of Hutchinson, Elaine (Brian) Schuette of Glencoe, Arthur (Theresa) Wemhoff Sr., Gerald (Patty) Wemhoff and Gregory Wemhoff all of Winsted and Douglas (Louise) Wemhoff of Duluth. Grandchildren, Angela (Troy) Hommerding, Jaclyn Schuette & Michael Schuette and fiancée Jenny Vasek; Arthur Wemhoff Jr. and Cory Wemhoff; Deanne Wemhoff; Jesse (Holly) Wemhoff and Jeremy (Julie) Wemhoff and Eric Hamel; great grandchildren: Dannielle Wemhoff, Treighton Wemhoff and Dalton Kinneman (Wemhoff); brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, William “Billy” Wemhoff, her parents, and by her brother Anthony “Tony” Loebertmann.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Wemhoff took place Friday, Sept. 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.  Father William A. Sprigler was the Celebrant.  Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
A visitation took place Thursday, Sept. 6 from 5-8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.  A Rosary was recited at 4:30 p.m. by The Council of Catholic Women. Casket Bearers were Jesse Wemhoff, Jeremy Wemhoff, Cory Wemhoff, Deanne Wemhoff and Arthur Wemhoff Jr. and Michael Schuette.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
