Dorothy M. Wickenhauser obituary, 5/4/07


Dorothy M. Wickenhauser, age 76, of Waconia, died Friday May 4, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.
She was born April 22, 1931 in Carver County, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Cress) Krautbauer. Dorothy was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia.
She was united in marriage to Wallace H. Wickenhauser April 24, 1954 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia.
Dorothy and Wallace farmed until 1986, when they moved to Waconia.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Aid.
She enjoyed traveling, sewing patch quilts, fishing, gardening, and working with flowers.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice Krautbauer; brother Edward Krautbauer Jr. “Sonny;” father-in-law and mother-in-law Albert and Clara Wickenhauser; and brother-in-law Gerald Wickenhauser.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Wallace; children and spouses, Carol and Ralph Laumann of Cologne, Ronald and JoAnn Wickenhauser of Cologne, Richard and Charlene Wickenhauser of Waconia, Jean and Roger Eder of Waconia, Betty and John O’Brien of Chanhassen, and Larry and Melissa Wickenhauser of Cologne; grandchildren Jerry Laumann, Rich and Tina Laumann, Joe Laumann, Ed Laumann, Connor Wickenhauser, Chelsea Wickenhauser, Kari Wickenhauser, Kyle Wickenhauser, Nate Eder, Arron Eder, Allison O’Brien, Tyler O’Brien, Tom O’Brien, Kate O’Brien, Jacob Wickenhauser, and Adrianna Wickenhauser; and great-grandchild Mackayla Laumann.
Dorothy is further survived by sisters and brother-in-law Ruth Eiden of Waconia, Helen and Ray Therres of Chaska. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gordon and Alice Wickenhauser of Cologne, Dennis and Bernice Wickenhauser of Cologne, Leon and Marcy Wickenhauser of Cologne, Sister Lois Wickenhauser SSND of Mapleton, Adrian Wickenhauser of Cologne, and Delora and Don Rolf of Waconia; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday May 7 at 10:30 a.m at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia with Father Lawrence Blake officiating. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
Casket bearers were her grandsons, Jerry Laumann, Rich Laumann, Joe Laumann, Ed Laumann, Connor Wickenhauser, Kyle Wickenhauser, Nate Eder, and Arron Eder. Honorary casket bearers were grandsons and granddaughters, Kari Wickenhauser, Chelsea Wickenhauser, Allison O’Brien, Tom O’Brien, Tyler O’Brien, Kate O’Brien, Jacob Wickenhauser, and Adrianna Wickenhauser.
Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
