Robert “Bob” E. Hunter, age 87, of Waverly, died peacefully Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Parkview in Buffalo, surrounded by his family.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bob and his wife, Mildred, shared 67 years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Augusta (Brunen) Hunter; an infant son; and a brother Hollis Hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; children Holly and Roger Rosin, Nancy and Frank Prepodnik, William and Peggy Hunter, and Marilyn and Paul Fobbe; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly with the Rev. Timothy Cloutier officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, Dec. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m., and continued Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m., all at the church.
Casket bearers were John Reimer, Jeff Reimer, Brooks Borrell, Brandon Adickes, Hollis Hunter, Jerry Gongall, Christopher Churchill, and Elmer Heitz.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
