James A. Boll

James A. Boll, age 78, of Waconia died Friday Oct. 10, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.

James was born Dec. 12, 1929, in St. Bonifacius, the son of Andrew J. and Mary G. (Hesse) Boll.

He loved sports, especially football and baseball. An avid reader, James enjoyed reading about the history of different things.

He was a supporting member lupus society, and served as a mentor in the St. Peter school system.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary “May” Boll.; wife Lorraine; sister Marian Snicker; and brothers Bede and Germain Boll.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Celeste and Dennis Lemke of Cologne, Lucian and Karen Boll of Crookston, Adrian and Karen Boll of Glenwood, Teresa and Gene Lukes, Andy Boll, all of Watertown, Tony and Marie Boll of Loveland, Colorado, Matt and Becky Boll of Waconia, Monica and Brent Quaas of Mayer, and Marcy and Todd Schultz of Norwood Young America; mother of his children, Betty Boll of Waconia; grandchildren Katie Lemke, Elizabeth and Paul Smably, Laura and Blake Butler, Benjamin Lemke, Amanda Lemke, Martha Lemke, Christine Boll, Bryan and Melissa Boll, Amy and Randy Huie, Stephanie and Corey Rupp, Jenny and Josh Christofferson, David and Jean Boll, Daniel and Kary Boll, Michael and Sarah Boll, Alan Boll, Lynette and Justin Rousseau, Alissa and Jeff Onell, Rachael Lukes, Adam Lukes, Jordan Lukes, Maxine and Paul Olson, Wes Boll, Leah Boll, Kellie Boll, Leslie Boll, Nicholas and Katrina Boll, Anthony Boll, Malinda and Matt Sycla, Deanne Boll, Caleb Boll, Olivia Boll, Cody Boll, Carson Boll, Samantha Quaas, Clayton Quaas, Dylan Schultz, and Cassandra Schultz; and 18 great-grandchildren.

James is further survived by sisters-in-law Marian Boll of Watertown, and Lois Boll of White Bear Lake; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday, Oct. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland, MN.

Visitation was Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the St. Boniface gathering space, and continued for one hour prior to the Mass at the church.

Casket bearers were Bryan Boll, David Boll, Benjamin Lemke, Adam Lukes, Anthony Boll, Wes Boll, Clayton Quaas, Nick Weber, Cody Boll, and Dylan Schultz.
