Lloyd A. Braunworth, age 82, of Victoria, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at the Texas Terrace Care Center in St. Louis Park.
He was born Jan. 27, 1926, in Victoria, the son of William O. and Alma E. (Anhalt) Braunworth.
Lloyd married Lorraine H. Koehnen June 6, 1948, at the Methodist Church in Excelsior.
Lloyd was a long-time member of the Victoria Fire Department, Victoria American Legion, and was on the Victoria city council. He served as an elder at the Lake Auburn Moravian Church.
He enjoyed fishing, race car driving, hunting, and traveling, and loved inventing new things. Lloyd cherished being at the lakeside property in Waconia. One of his fun things to do was chasing parts for his son, Bill.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alma Braunworth; sisters Mildred Conright, Dorothy Maurer, Myrtle Falk and Jewel Braunworth; brother Willard Braunworth; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leonard and Luella Koehnen.
He is survived by his loving family: wife Lorraine; children and spouses, Bill and June Braunworth of Plato, Doug and Carole Braunworth of Chaska, Diane and Gary Koll of Plato, Sue and Joe Diethelm of Waconia, Bob and Raylyn Braunworth of Renton, Wash., and Daniel Braunworth of Hamburg; grandchildren Brad and Michelle Braunworth, Sonia and Jeff Kamps, Duane Braunworth and fiancée and Chrissy Salisbury, Jim and Nikki Braunworth, Travis Koll, Jeremy Koll, Chrissy and Andy Breuer, Loni Diethelm and fiancé Grant Schroeder, Jason Braunworth, Mark Braunworth, Aaron Braunworth, Stacy Braunworth, and Jennifer Braunworth; great-grandchildren Tyler, Blake, Dylan, Lexy, Broc, Brady, Brenna, Josie, Tiffany, Dillon, Haley, Tori, Dallas, Austin, Morgan, Nick, Katie, Ben, Claire, and Taylor; and great-great-granddaughter Shyann.
Lloyd is further survived by a sister, Bernice Winkler of Cologne; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lenny and Ardes Koehnen of Chaska, Ken Koehnen of Excelsior, Gene Koehnen of Las Vegas, Ginny Koehnen of Chanhassen, Ginny Aghevli of California, Della Hartmann of Hopkins, Lorna Huonder of Mankato, Pat Kirsch of Gaylord, Lester and Pat Koehnen of Shakopee, Leslie and Janice Koehnen of Colorado, LaVerne and Larry Nelson of Minnetonka, LeRoy and Cathy Koehnen of Minnetrista, Joan Felt of Chaska, Jane and Hank Boubelik of Minnetonka, and Jim Koehnen of Minnetonka; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was Tuesday March 25 at 11 a.m. at Lake Auburn Moravian Church in Victoria with the Rev. Frank Jones officiating. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Chaska.
Casket bearers were Duane Braunworth, Jim Braunworth, Brad Braunworth, Jason Braunworth, Mark Braunworth, Aaron Braunworth, Andy Breuer, Jeff Kamps, and Grant Schroeder.
