Fanny Breeschoten, age 91, of Howard Lake, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Howard Lake.
She was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Silver Creek Township, Maple Lake, to Henry and Annie (Mol) Plaggerman. Fanny graduated from Annandale High School with the class of 1936.
She was married to Henry Breeschoten Dec. 11, 1942, at the parsonage of the Silver Creek Reformed Church. They made their home in Silver Creek Twp. until 1952, when they moved to Howard Lake. To this union, four children were born.
Fanny was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake, where she taught Sunday school for 20 years.
She was employed at Fabricraft as a seamstress.
Fanny enjoyed sewing and baking cookies, and jelly beans were one of her favorites.
She is survived by her children, Richard, Harlan (Susan), all of Cokato, and Yvonne Breeschoten of Howard Lake; a sister, Mildred Plaggerman; and a grandson, Eric (Carla) Breeschoten of Buffalo.
Fanny was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sharon; brothers Kenneth, Harry, Bert, Roy, Donnie, and Jim; and sisters, Jenny, Henrietta, and Francis.
Funeral service was Thursday, April 10 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake with the Rev. Myra Carroll-Pezzella officiating. Music was provided by Grant Judd and Al Lorentz. Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Creek Twp., Maple Lake.
Pallbearers were Harold Plaggerman, Willis Plaggerman, Dale Plaggerman, Robert Breeschoten, Henry Van Maanen, and Donald Naaktgeboren.
The Swanson Peterson Funeral Home, Howard Lake, handled the arrangements.
